This challenging and physically taxing brass quintet piece tells the story of someone who doesn’t have full control of their life just yet. They have highs and lows, but most of their time is spent wondering what to do with their time. The Time Spent Wandering showcases that time in everyone’s life where they aren’t very sure what they’re doing on this planet.

This piece has difficult 16th note passages in every instrument that interweave with the other instruments. There are a wide variety of feelings and emotions and the ensemble’s goal is to show those emotions to the audience and tell a story.
